1. About This Cancellation Policy
This Cancellation Policy explains when and how customers may cancel product orders, plant orders, custom orders, design consultations, landscaping projects and maintenance services purchased or arranged through Verde Qatar.
This policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Delivery Information, Return & Replacement Policy and Privacy Policy.
Submitting a cancellation request does not automatically cancel an order or service. A cancellation becomes effective only after Verde Qatar reviews the request and sends confirmation to the customer.
2. Cancelling a Product Order
A customer may request cancellation of an online, telephone or WhatsApp product order before Verde Qatar has started preparing, sourcing, repotting, customizing or dispatching the order.
If the cancellation request is accepted before preparation or dispatch has started, the order will be cancelled without a cancellation charge.
Cancellation cannot be guaranteed once:
- The order has entered preparation;
- A plant has been repotted or prepared according to the customer’s instructions;
- Products have been sourced specifically for the customer;
- The order has been packed for dispatch;
- The order has been handed to the delivery team; or
- Delivery has already been attempted or completed.
If an order can no longer be cancelled, any return, replacement or refund request will be considered under our Return & Replacement Policy.
3. Perishable, Custom and Special-Order Products
Plants, flowers and certain horticultural products may be perishable or sensitive to handling and environmental conditions. Cancellation may not be available after preparation or dispatch has started.
Custom and special-order products include items sourced, ordered, designed, planted, repotted, engraved, assembled or prepared according to the customer’s specifications.
Custom or special-order products may be cancelled only before Verde Qatar begins sourcing, purchasing, production or preparation. Once work or procurement has started, cancellation may be refused or any refund may be reduced by the reasonable costs already incurred.
Verde Qatar will inform the customer before accepting a custom order if special cancellation conditions apply.
4. Cancelling Landscaping and Design Services
Cancellation conditions for landscaping, garden design, implementation, maintenance and consultation services may also be stated in the quotation, proposal or service agreement accepted by the customer.
Unless different written conditions were accepted for the project, the following rules apply:
- A project may be cancelled at least 14 calendar days before the agreed project start date.
- If an eligible cancellation is received at least 14 calendar days before the project start date, the refundable portion of the deposit will be returned.
- If cancellation is requested less than 14 calendar days before the project start date, the deposit may be non-refundable because labour, materials, equipment, scheduling or third-party services may already have been committed.
- Once design, procurement, site preparation or implementation has started, the customer remains responsible for completed work and reasonable committed or non-recoverable project costs.
- Any amount remaining after applicable completed work and committed costs have been deducted will be refunded to the customer.
Before processing a deduction, Verde Qatar will provide the customer with an explanation of the applicable completed work or committed costs.
5. Rescheduling a Service
Customers may contact Verde Qatar to request a change to an agreed consultation, maintenance visit or project date. Rescheduling is subject to staff, material and equipment availability.
Please submit a rescheduling request as early as possible. If costs have already been incurred specifically for the original date, Verde Qatar will explain those costs before confirming the revised arrangement.
A requested date change is not confirmed until Verde Qatar provides written confirmation of the new date.
6. How to Request a Cancellation
To request cancellation, contact Verde Qatar as soon as possible and provide:
- Your full name;
- Your order, quotation or project reference number;
- The telephone number and email address used for the order;
- The product, service or project you wish to cancel; and
- The reason for the cancellation.
Cancellation requests may be submitted by email, telephone or WhatsApp using the contact information at the end of this policy.
Verde Qatar will review the status of the order or service and confirm whether cancellation is available and whether any costs have already been incurred.
7. Refunds for Accepted Cancellations
When a cancellation is accepted and a refund is due, the refund will normally be issued through the original payment method.
- Card payments: Refunds will be submitted to the original card or payment account.
- Bank transfers: The customer may be asked to provide verified account information so the refund can be processed securely.
- Cash on Delivery: No refund is required if an unpaid order is cancelled before delivery. If cash has already been collected, Verde Qatar will agree on an appropriate refund method with the customer.
Approved refunds are normally processed by Verde Qatar within 10 business days. The time required for the refunded amount to appear may depend on the customer’s bank, card issuer or payment provider.
Delivery charges will be refunded when an order is cancelled before dispatch. Delivery charges may not be refundable after dispatch or an attempted delivery unless the cancellation results from an error by Verde Qatar or applicable law requires otherwise.
8. Orders or Services Cancelled by Verde Qatar
Verde Qatar may cancel an order or service if:
- A product, plant or required material is unavailable;
- The price or product information contains a material error;
- Payment cannot be authorized or verified;
- The delivery or service address is outside the supported area;
- Accurate customer or delivery information is not provided;
- Fraudulent, unlawful or abusive activity is suspected;
- Weather, safety conditions, site restrictions or circumstances outside reasonable control prevent fulfilment; or
- Verde Qatar cannot reasonably provide the product or service as agreed.
If Verde Qatar cancels an order or service before it is supplied, the customer will be informed and any payment received for the cancelled and undelivered product or unperformed service will be refunded.
For a partially completed landscaping or maintenance project, Verde Qatar will provide a statement identifying completed work, delivered materials and any amount eligible for refund.
9. Failed Delivery Is Not a Cancellation
An unsuccessful delivery attempt does not automatically cancel an order. If delivery cannot be completed because the address is incomplete, access is restricted or the recipient is unavailable or cannot be contacted, Verde Qatar will contact the customer to discuss the available options.
Any redelivery arrangement will be handled according to the Delivery Information provided on the website and communicated to the customer before redelivery is arranged.
Any further delivery arrangement will be handled according to our Delivery Information and communicated to the customer.
10. Changes to an Order
Requests to change a product, quantity, delivery address, delivery date or recipient information are subject to the status of the order and product availability.
A requested change is not confirmed until Verde Qatar accepts it. If the change affects the price or delivery charge, the revised amount will be communicated to the customer before the change is finalized.
11. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Cancellation Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or replace any rights or remedies available to customers under applicable laws in the State of Qatar.
Claims concerning damaged, defective, unhealthy or incorrectly supplied products are handled under our Return & Replacement Policy and applicable consumer-protection requirements.
